Best Regards S.O.S Tip of the Week Taking Out the Trash Garbage day doesn't have to be "knock 'em out, drag 'em out" day. Sort your recycables as you throw it out. Have separate boxes in your house for the blue bag, yellow bag and blue box. Then on garbage day you only have to dump the inside boxes into the outside boxes and you're done. If you throw your newspaper in the inside box as soon as you're done with it and the same with other paper you will find it a lot easier. Remember to wash your garbage cans every six months to cut down on unwanted pests. Spray your can with your favourite cleanser or use SOS's new all natural cleaning solution, let sit for 5 minutes and spray with the garden hose. Leave it upside down to drain. The best way to cut down on garbage smell is to recycle and reuse as much as possible. However, for stuff that can't be recycled; if you buy milk in milk cartons, you can reuse the cartons to collect "wet" garbage and use your plastic bag for dry garbage. This eliminates potential leaks from holes in the bag and cuts down on the smell.
