| Un-clutter Your Mind
By now, if you've been following these tips, you are seeing some improvement in the way your home looks and feeling better about yourself and more in control of your life. If you haven't started to organize your space, now is the time to start - it's never too late to start organizing. To me the biggest benefit of getting organized is reducing the stress that clutter creates. You rid yourself of some of the physical clutter in your home and you're on your way to a new you, organized and productive. To many the word clutter means the physical clutter in your home, the things you have that are not liked or used.
But there is another form of clutter left that must be cleared out. It's called mind clutter and it is as equally debilitating as physical clutter. When your mind is cluttered with past negative experiences it drains your energy and lowers your productivity and prevents you from becoming the best you can be. Living in the present, and making conscious choices about what we do, say, and think; choosing well in every moment, takes constant watchfulness; but it is time well spent.
Tips to Living in the Present
• Sit in a quiet place alone for a few minutes a day and look around you. What do you see and hear? What do you feel? Stopping once in a while makes you more aware where you are at and where you want to be.
• Live in the moment and focus on what you are doing right now. It doesn't matter what kind of job you are doing: cleaning, sorting or singing, give it all your attention.
• How much of what you do is action and how much is reaction? Paying closer attention what are you doing, you can make more conscious choices about how you spend your time and ultimately how you want to live your life.
• Set your own goals and write them down on a piece of paper. Think about what you want in life and what you need to do to make your life the way you want. Take a baby steps toward the great life you deserve. Ask for help from family, friends and professionals.
Celebrate your life with family, friends and those that helped you achieve the things that are important to you.
