Spring Clearing & Cleaning

Spring is almost here, so it’s time for the traditional “spring clean”. Getting your home clean is not only healthy, but refreshing and rewarding. De-cluttering the old, dusty, broken and unused things will boost your energy and self esteem.

Spring cleaning doesn’t have to be a chore hated by generations. Even though it can be time consuming, it doesn’t have to be a frustrating and hated task. All of us like to live in an organized and clean home and with a little planning, we can achieve amazing results.

Tip #1 In order to have your home organized and clean, you need to work on your attitude toward these not always pleasant tasks. Focus on how you are going to feel coming home from a stressful day to a clean smelling and orderly home, rather than being consumed with frustration over incomplete tasks.

Tip #2 Designate one room for the items you want to get rid of. Go through every room of your home, including the garage and list everything that needs fixing, painting, washing, returning, and buying. Notice that buying is the last item on your list. Use the baskets and containers you already have in your home to contain the things you use.

Tip #3 Use your dishwasher to wash your hood fans, vent covers, dish racks, toys and shower caddies.

Tip #4 Use S.O.S. All Purpose Cleaners to clean your counters, walls, linoleum floors, and washable wallpaper walls. For tougher stains use S.O.S. Granny’s Scrub made with baking soda, gentle yet mildly abrasive. Ideal to remove kids’ drawings from the walls, black marks on your wooden or linoleum floors.

Tip #5 Remove grease stains by blotting the stained spot. Sprinkle generously with baking soda, using a circular motion work it into the carpet then leave it for one hour. Vacuum the soda up and repeat the process again if necessary.

Why Do People Procrastinate?

  • What is the price of your procrastination?
  • What is your excuse?
  • Are you physically and emotionally stuck?
  • Is procrastination causing you financial difficulties, stress and low self esteem?
  • Do you always settle for less in life?
We are planning a whole new series of workshops on the subject known to many of us. As a former delinquent of procrastination, I feel qualified to talk about this subject. For the last few years in my work as a professional organizer I've seen hundreds of very intelligent people being ruined financially, emotionally and physically. And it’s all because “I will do it tomorrow.”

If you want to participate in S.O.S. “Care to Share Story” about overcoming procrastination and the steps you took to become successful and productive, please email us

If you are chosen, we will publish your story in our future newsletters and give you a gift certificate: dinner for two at a local restaurant.

Tax Time!

IdentityTwo things about tax time: the first, if you utilize someone to prepare your taxes, you need to make sure they are experienced, professional and knowledgeable. They need to work with integrity, honesty and with your interest at heart.  The second, how you organize your receipts and other tax related papers is critical for both accuracy and knowing you have not missed anything. www.keepingidentitysafe.com

S.O.S is hiring!

We're looking to hire Independent Contractors as
Residential Cleaners.

Are you organized?  Do you like helping people? We are looking for residential cleaners.  As an Independent Contractor you will enjoy flexible hours while embarking on an exciting career.  You will be working in a team environment with lots of support.  The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail and be willing to go that "extra mile" for clients as well as be able to greet every situation, no matter how challenging, with compassion and energy.

While past experience is an asset, it is not a requirement as we will provide training.  Independent Contractors are responsible for submitting invoices and are not on payroll, and get to set their own hours within certain parameters.
