The Solutions Organizing Simple
S.O.S. Tips The Top 5 Organizing Mistakes 1. Diving in Without a Plan and without Preparation Organizing is like any other project that requires planning and preparation: renovations, going on vacation, looking for a job etc. You have to have a clear picture in your mind of exactly what you want to accomplish and the steps you must take to achieve your goal. 2. Buying Organizing Tools Too Soon Sorting and purging are the first two steps you must take in order to start and successfully organize any space. Buying organizing boxes, bins and baskets is definitely on the bottom of the organizing list. Also, buying stuff while trying to clear the clutter is a cycle you need to break. 3. Thinking That Clutter is Only Stuff Clutter can take many forms that will keep you stuck and feeling overwhelmed. Projects you’ve started and never finished, things you mean to donate but are still in your hallway all boxed and stacked up, the appliances that need fixing but are not worth fixing, beliefs passed on from your parents that are not working for you, relationships that are not supporting you and your goals. 4. Trying to Organize the Whole House This mind set is a sure recipe for failure. Divide a big project such as your house into smaller size projects. Start with one drawer in your bathroom. Organize your hair accessories. If you have shampoos, gels and sprays going back to the 90s, throw them out and start fresh and safe. 5. Understanding the Importance of Decluttering and Tidying Assigning 10 mins each day to declutter and tidy up will make a difference in the way your space looks, increasing your productivity and lessening the frustration that clutter creates. An Evening with Dr. Christiane Northrup
Women's Bodies; Women's Wisdom: For the past 5000 years, the female body and everything having to do with it, have been seen as inferior to the male standard. For this reason, men and women both have been taught that the processes of the female body, such as menstruation, childbirth, and menopause are at best major inconveniences, and at worst, curses visited upon women because Eve ate the apple and thus brought evil to mankind. The practice of medicine is nothing more than an extension of the culture in which it is practiced. Hence, what we call women’s health has focused mostly on disease screening and early diagnosis, not true prevention. As a board-certified ob/gyn, Dr. Christiane Northrup has spent the last 30 years articulating a new vision of women’s health: a vision that appreciates the seamless unity of the mind and the body, and also the fact that the Divine comes to us through our bodies and the processes of our bodies. Making the connection between our bodies and our lives allows us to connect with empowered feminine energy – the Source of life and nurturance, caring and connection – all the qualities that make life worth living. When we learn how to fuel our lives from this Source, we are truly flourishing. By coming home to our own bodies in this way, we heal not only ourselves and our lives, but also become a source of wisdom and joy that holds the potential to uplift everyone around us. This presentation will focus on how women can begin, right now, to flourish, regardless of their past or state of health
